Go camping this comping weekend at St. Vrain Colorado State Park and take some time to join them in learning about bats, stars, and other natural education about the night. Campers will have the opportunity to learn all about bats in Colorado. If you are more interested in learning about the stars the Longmont Astronomical Society will be our there to teach everyone about the night sky.

Spook Out Friday the 13th

September 13, beginning at 7 p.m.
Take the ‘spook’ out of Friday the 13th with a fun, family-friendly and educational night of exploring bats and stars at St. Vrain State Park ! As the sun sets over the St. Vrain River, participants, young and old, will love learning all there is to know about the mysterious world of Colorado bats. Once darkness falls, everyone is invited to stay and peek into the depths of the night sky with experts from the Longmont Astronomical Society. Make sure to bring weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks, bug spray and a chair. Both programs will take place at the park amphitheater.
Even if you are not planning on going camping this is a great opportunity to get out and learn about what is in the Colorado night sky!
